SKOLL CENTRE FOR SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP

The Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship at University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School is a leading academic entity for the advancement of social entrepreneurship worldwide. We foster innovative social transformation through world-class education, cutting-edge research, and collaboration among business, policy, academic, and social leaders. Our work and community are global in scope, and we uniquely use the power of networks to magnify the work of our researchers, students, and wider community beyond local and national boundaries.

SIHI INVOLVEMENT

As one of the founding members of the Social Innovation in Health Initiative in 2014, the Skoll Centre contributed to the creation of the initial case studies, and Pamela Hartigan, former director of the Centre, played a crucial role in spearheading the initiative. The Skoll Centre will continue to support and steer this initiative in its next phase of implementation to drive health innovation across the global south.

OUR FOCUS AREAS

STUDENTS AND ALUMNI

We provide a variety of co-curricular courses, competitions, and events aimed at providing high potential, socially-minded graduate students across the University with the support, skills, and experiences to pursue their goals.

RESEARCH FOR ACTION

We work with Faculty and Early Career Researchers at the Saïd Business School and beyond to enable high-quality research that generates insights to address pressing environmental and social challenges globally.

CONVENINGS

Every year we organise a range of events seeking to catalyse deep exchanges with a global community of innovators. One of our main gatherings is the Skoll Foundation’s Skoll World Forum on Social Entrepreneurship, which we host in Oxford each year in April.
