OUR PROCESS
Every two years, the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO/WHO), as the Regional Convener, supports the SIHI LAC Hub (CIDEIM), SIHI-Honduras, and the SIHI Secretariat in identifying social health innovations across Latin America and the Caribbean.
Selected innovations are integrated into a regional network through a public crowdsourcing campaign, open to all that meet the specified criteria. Each campaign addresses topics prioritized by PAHO/WHO Member States.
Submissions are evaluated by an independent international panel based on clear criteria. Recognized innovations receive honorable mentions, while others are awarded a recognition plaque from PAHO/WHO.
